TGMI Thought for the Day!
– Temptations are not actually sin! Neither trials a sin! The sin is when you have given into or yield to the [tactics or approaches] of the temptations! Both trials, temptations; yielding to them, that is to accept to listen and obey it’s voice are things of the mind. The lusts of the eyes, and the corruption (ill thoughts) of the heart are the origins of your temptation. God has no hand in sin! Man brought sin in existence through disobedience to God’s instructions and sin begets death upon man’s soul, spirit and body! That is to say, man created sin and brought it’s reality!
– In the beginning, there were lots of things/creatures God made and brought into existence. Sin was not mentioned there and then. In accordance to God’s standard, everything was good, good and good! But, immediately man fell off the pathway, decided to take a different direction; listening to his physical, fleshy mind, sin came into the picture due to disobedience to God’s command.
– The scripture says, there is no temptation beyond our ability because, they are common to man and that God will show us a way of escape and be able to endure them whenever it comes – 1Cor. 10:13
That is the reason, every temptation and trial needs our ability to recognize them and endurance, so as to escape (overcome) them when they occur!
– So, abiding [in obedience] to the biddings of the temptations is what actually makes it a sin. And trials after been conquered, gives strength, builds power and trust!
Shalom!
